World War Two was a major turning point in American History. The United States was an industrial giant but did not possess the military might of other nations. I believe the reason for this was the United States was built on the principle of a civilian army. The United States did not possess a large standing army. This made us vulnerable to attack from foreign powers. This webquest will focus on the eyewitness reports of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and a second webquest will focus or the information and propaganda used by the government and businesses to rally the support of the American people to a common goal.
